Tabitha White’s concept was to create a low-tech office device to communicate someone’s status at a given moment. My solution was to smash the vintage typography emoticon with the 90’s-era gel button, and give each one a dictionary-style definition. In a gift market that tended to be “churn-and-burn” this item had an unusually long life span.
